There aren’t many resources out there that collate bookbinding knowledge like this one. And it’s with no glue! This specific technique can also bind other sheet materials together like metal, for example.

Anyone who’s ever met me knows that I only ever give and receive books as gifts, so I can reliably expect a new text to settle in with (away from my laptop) over the holidays. This holiday season, I’d love a subscription I can savor throughout the year; I’m always eyeing Boxwalla for their bi-monthly Book Subscription Box and their curation of new and forthcoming authors from around the world. They also have a susty skincare and beauty subscription box with small-batch products, if that’s your poison.

I’ve been searching through garage sales and FB marketplace in LA for a shelf that will fit and bring color to my space. These Mustard Made lockers come in a variety of vibrant colors and sizes, which means you can fit as much as you might need. This is definitely an investment piece of furniture! Also, I appreciate that they aim to use minimal plastic packaging.

I’ve had my eye on this brand forever, mainly because the packaging is iconic, beautiful, and perfect for that “What’s in my purse?” sort of content. But beyond that, it’s refillable! It’s the ideal mix of susty and cute.

I discovered George, Gina, & Lucy earlier this year on one of my weekly eBay scavenges for cool vintage bags. They’re a German brand that was founded in the early 2000s and apparently have a pretty culty following. They seem to be all over Vinted and Depop too. I appreciate their utilitarian aura and hope to find a pink, white, or black vintage crossbody under my Christmas tree this year.
