Every summer, natural deodorant users hear the PSAs from their mainstream-deodorant-using counterparts: please, stop using natural deodorant—you stink. We hear you. Natural deodorants have a bad reputation for not being the best at covering B.O. As far as the effects of aluminum, we’ll let you baddies do your own detective work and draw your conclusions. But we do believe in choosing brands that promote a more sustainable disposal process and many of the formulations below are conscious of limiting potential allergens, pollutants, and adhere to overall susty benchmarks. So to help sustainable baddies stay unstinky, we’ve compiled a list of effective, sustainable natural deodorants you can rely on. Many of these recommendations come from our Sustainable Baddie community and our staff, so they're tried and true!

We also received a few messages from baddies sharing eulogies for their favorite (discontinued) deodorants, which is relatable, as my favorite natural deodorant by Type A was discontinued in 2022. I'm now on the hunt for a new favorite, so stay tuned for an update!
