Sustainable BadDIY: Upcycle a Thrifted Betsey Johnson Dress With Me
On a recent trip to San Francisco, I thrifted a Betsey Johnson dress for $4 - it was such a cute find, but I felt like I would get more wear out of it if I turned the sequined part of the dress into a top. Follow me along on my sewing journey!
First I seam-ripped the top portion from the skirt, and also removed the zipper.
I then proceeded to pin the lining and front that were seam-ripped from each other, as well as ribbons to the back of the piece to make it a tie-back.
This is the outcome of the top! I love it so much, and think it's such a fun piece for summer.
