Sustainable Baddie's Zodiac Chart

The Sustainable Baddie team is Zodiac-obsessed, to put it mildly. To celebrate six months the Sustainable Baddie way, we did what Gen Z girlies do best and we made a birth chart for the publication!  After some discussion, we decided that the date and time of birth for the magazine is April 13th, 3:58 PM in New York (The location and time of the debut instagram post). If you’re as curious as we are, find out Sustainable Baddie’s Big Six, and find out if you are compatible (we think everyone is)!

Sustainable Baddie’s Big Three:

Aries Sun:

If we are interpreting the Sun sign as one’s identity or purpose in life, then this fiery and energy filled placement is definitely resonating. This sign is exalted in this placement, meaning that it is strong, filled with energy, and acutely oriented towards what matters most. This cardinal sign is not afraid to be itself in looks or in action. Sustainable Baddie’s identity as colorful and maximalist is uncommon in the minimalist, white-dominated world of environmentalism, but SB celebrates sustainability as it’s often expressed in marginalized communities: through joy. This Aries placement aligns with the publications general vibe, as well as its desire to be a unique leader and resource amidst sustainable fashion and lifestyle movement.

Virgo Moon:

Interpreting the moon placement as the body of the publication or its essence, it makes sense that this moon sign is shared with the person behind the whole operation, our founder Jazmine Rogers! The Moon in Virgo is a placement that basks in simplicity. Virgo moons tend to be perfectionists with special skills for editing, purifying, and working with details. It feels fitting that a magazine would have this placement that aligns with the work that our writers, editors, and designers do every day. Virgo moon feels most fulfilled when being productive and being of service which makes sense for a publication that is committed to bringing people into the sustainable world through simple and accessible means.

Virgo Rising:

Utilizing Chani Nicholas description of the rising sign as one's motivation for living life, SB as a Virgo rising makes a little too much sense. Virgo is a practical sign that is committed to their craft. Virgos feel their best when their work is aligned with their values. Sustainable Baddie is a publication motivated by dispersing information on sustainability in a way that is practical and approachable. Nicholas writes that this placement is motivated to “analyze, digest, and integrate the information that you acquire.” This motivation feels very in-line with Sustainable Baddie’s mission: “Sustainable Baddie provides hope + refuge for the climate anxious through creativity and style, while providing sustainable lifestyle advice through diverse voices.”

Other Signs to Explore:

Taurus Mercury:

Sustainable Baddie has a Mercury (ruler of communication) in Taurus, making the magazine’s way of delivering information physical and bodily in nature. This earth sign placement also influences Sustainable Baddie’s closeness and connection to nature, meaning our focus on climate action and eco-justice!

Pisces Venus:

A Venus in Pisces placement loves to love and be loved. Sustainable Baddie describes its voice as one of optimism and hope, and if you have ever met a Pisces Venus, you probably say the same thing about them. This placement floats with dreamlike ambition, and excitement in everything they do. As a magazine that is intended to find hope amidst climate anxiety, the Pisces Venus is absolutely playing a heavy role in the SB mission.

Aquarius Mars:

Aquarius Mars placements are committed to humanitarian efforts and community oriented solutions. Sustainable Baddie is pursuing climate action by uplifting our community and making resources freely available. This placement often presents as opposing the mainstream, doing things differently, and being contrarian, as seen in SBs unique style and desire to be something different in the sustainability world.

The Sustainable Baddie chart could likely be interpreted in many different ways, but as we look back on six months of sustiness, this chart feels like it aligns well with where we have been, and where we are headed! Plus, it is super compatible with the charts of the entire Sustainable Baddie team!
