11 Curated Vintage Sellers You Can Shop Online & IRL

There are many different corners of the secondhand fashion world: your trusty local thrift store (affordable and dependable); luxury resale (will I ever afford that Galliano-era newspaper Dior Saddle Bag on The RealReal? A girl can dream…); and then there's curated vintage, where knowing a garment’s history, designer, and fashion era are essential parts of the shopping process. To shop and wear vintage is to tell a story any time you style your pieces. Vintage clothing, unlike typical thrifted pieces, also offers secondhand shoppers the ease of finding high-quality, unique items that no one else will have, without the hassle of sourcing them yourself.

The world of vintage curation has exploded in popularity over the last decade. Shopping curated vintage isn’t just about the purchase; it's about the gallery-like experience of browsing someone's thoughtfully selected collection. Vintage curation has become a modern art in itself. As much as we lowkey want to gatekeep some of these sellers (we’ve got notifications on for every drop), we are your humble vintage servants, so we’re sharing a few of our favorite curated vintage sellers who not only source incredible, fabulous pieces but also educate us on their history and contribute to the circular economy.

1. Real Life as Liv

We literally quake in our boots when Olivia, the founder of Real Life As Liv, posts a new haul video. She’s made a name for herself in the vintage curated designer world through her impressive sourcing of runway and television-appearance pieces, as well as her educational videos showcasing the stories behind her finds.

2. Vintage Store

IRL & online | Latina-owned

What do you get when you bring together two independent vintage-curating geniuses? You get Vintage Store. Founded by Jamie Espino of Poorly Curated and Josie Fillat of Shy Pony, the two vintage aficionados launched Vintage Store in April of this year. While each continues to curate and sell online through their original platforms, you can visit their joint venture at 129B Eldridge Street in NYC.

3. Rogue

Woman-owned | NYC-based

Founded by Emma Rogue, you’ve likely encountered Rogue on social media through some of their street style interviews. This soon-to-be-iconic NYC alternative thrift store has recently relaunched its online shop (originally a Depop store!), so even if you’re not in the city, you can still source some vintage Tripp from home.

4. Comme Please

Asian woman-owned | UK- based | Mid-size designer

It’s no secret the vintage luxury curation often comes in small, limited sizing, but TikTok fashion creator @tepicurry has started their own mid-sized (mainly UK sizes 12-16) second hand designer store, to share their impeccable taste with the “comme-unity”.

5. J’Adorable Vintage

Woman-owned | Berlin-based

J’Adorable curates a selection of vintage clothing and accessories along with contemporary fashion from local independent designers. They have a keen eye for both avant-garde and minimalist styles.

6. Breath of the Earth Vintage

Woman-owned | Online & IRL | NJ/NY-based

Breath of Earth Vintage is a curated collection of treasures spanning a century of fashion, from the 1890s to the 1990s, handpicked with a reverence for nature and the craftsmanship of past eras. You can shop Breath of Earth Vintage online or at Phantasm in Jersey City and By Liv in Brooklyn.

7. Awoke Vintage

NYC-based | IRL & online

Awoke Vintage, originally founded in Perth, Australia in 2007, has grown into a Brooklyn-based must-see spot for unique vintage finds and expert denim curation. With three locations, they offer a range of affordable vintage pieces and support local Brooklyn brands.

8. Judy Jean Vintage

Ontario-based

Judy Jean Vintage curates pieces from various decades, but some of their best stuff are glam-esque pieces from the '90s and early 2000s, available on Depop and Etsy. You can also visit their storefront in Paris, Ontario, and book styling appointments with them.

9. Lock-Up Vintage

UK-based

Lock-Up Vintage is one of our favorite Depop shops for handpicked '90s and 2000s fashion. Sourced globally, their selection offers a curated time capsule that can bring together a period-inspired look or blend with timeless pieces in your wardrobe.

10. Studded Petals Vintage

Woman-owned | UK-based

Studded Petals Vintage are experts in hunting down rare and archival runway pieces. Specializing in sourcing archival and runway fashion, from Vivienne Westwood corsets to Givenchy Haute Couture, we’re convinced there’s no rare item they can’t find!

11. Toots Vintage

Queer-owned

Toots Vintage is an NYC-chic take on an early 2000s prom dress shopping trip. Founded by Michael Phillips and inspired by their childhood thrift store adventures, a love for early 2000s nostalgia, and the "prom dress [they] never got to wear," the brand is committed to sustainability by reimagining fashion that already exists.
