An Extroverts Guide to Staying In

As soon as it’s time to go home I’m already looking through my contact list to see who’s up and down to hang out. One thing about extroverts is it’s easy to ignore that we’re burning out from not getting enough rest. Extroverts do gain energy from being around others and entertaining but at some point we do actually need sleep.

Extroverts are the life of the party and the glue to friend groups. They're almost always the only reason why others are willing to go out and have a good time. Taking time to yourself to reflect inward and giving yourself the same energy you give everyone else is just as important as having a good time out.

So from one extrovert to another, here’s a guide to staying in.

  1. Let’s get comfy

use SUSTAINABLEBADDIE for a 10% discount at Organic Basics.

To be able to relax you need to physically get into that mode. Change into some loungewear from Organic Basics. Their Boxy tees and dresses are made from organic cotton so it’s soft and breathable, perfect for a chill afternoon in. Feeling cute while resting will give you not only a confidence boost but an energy boost like you get when you’re out.

2. Light a Candle

Ambiance is everything when you’re trying to take it easy. Lighting your favorite candle really takes you to that place. Boy Smells Cashmere Kush, made smells like how meditating feels. Taking a few breaths with this candle lit in the background will help get your mind on rest and resetting.

3. Take a relaxing bath

After your candle-lit meditation session soaking up in an Earth Hero salt bath would take your relaxation vibes to the next level. While taking a bath, keep that meditative energy going with a chill instrumental playlist. I know that might be a big change from the usual back-to-back bops but trust me.

4. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize

Let’s remember to take care of our skin after soaking in a bath for a few hours, or (however long you want to be in there lol). Feel like a moisturized goddess after using Hanahana Beauty’s Shea Butter. When I say it feels like clouds on your skin.

5. Reflect with yourself

We all love We Are Not Really Strangers but playing a game similar to that but with yourself will really help you reflect on who you are and how you’re feeling. Hanahana has these take care cards that are all about having a reality check. Asking myself about how I’m feeling has been a sobering moment. Extraverts, ask yourself how you’re feeling, and you’ll be surprised at your answers.
